U2 announced The Greatest Show On Earth Tour on Thursday, October 15, their first stadium tour since 2019, and it starts in Latin America. Six shows are confirmed so far, opening at Mexico City's Estadio GNP Seguros on February 23, 2027. Beck is the support act on every announced date.

  • February 23 and 26, 2027: Mexico City, Estadio GNP Seguros
  • March 10 and 12, 2027: São Paulo, Estádio MorumBIS
  • March 23 and 25, 2027: Buenos Aires, Estadio River Plate

According to the band, these are the only Latin American cities on the 2027 tour. Dates in Europe and North America will be announced in the coming weeks, and a homecoming show in Ireland is being planned.

When tickets go on sale

The U2.com subscriber presale opens on Monday, October 19, at 10am local time and runs until Wednesday, October 21, at 10pm. General sale starts on Thursday, October 22, at 10am for São Paulo and Buenos Aires, and on Friday, October 23, at 10am for Mexico City. New U2.com subscribers also get presale access to the European and North American dates once they are announced. Prices were not included in the official announcement.

A new album after nine years

The tour supports Carnaval De Luz, the band's 16th studio album and its first studio album in nine years, out on November 13. The 12-track record features Rosalía and Dolly Parton, with contributions from Brian Eno, Martin Garrix and Daniel Lanois. The third single, “The Greatest Show On Earth”, co-written with Eno and with a video by Anton Corbijn, came out with the announcement.

In their statement, the band call the tour's title “a dare, to ourselves as much as anyone”, and promise a set list drawn from their whole catalogue. U2 have not played a stadium since The Joshua Tree Tour ended in Mumbai in December 2019; in between came the Las Vegas Sphere residency in 2023 and 2024. According to MusicRadar, it is also their first tour with drummer Larry Mullen Jr. back behind the kit after a neck injury kept him out of the Sphere shows.
