Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War drops its last trailer; final episodes air October 19 and 26
Episode 49 airs in Japan on Monday, October 19, and the series finale follows a week later.
Bleach is two episodes from the end. The official Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War site released the “THE LAST” trailer on Friday, October 16, starting the countdown to the final chapters of the adaptation of Tite Kubo's last manga arc.
- Episode 49: Monday, October 19, in TV Tokyo's “24:00” slot (midnight going into Tuesday in Japan), which is 11am ET (8am PT) on Monday.
- Episode 50, the finale: Monday, October 26, in the same Japanese slot, again 11am ET (8am PT).
Those are the Japanese TV broadcast times. Outside Japan, the anime streams on Hulu in the US and on Disney+ in other territories, which set their own release times, so check the platform in your country.
How we got here
Thousand-Year Blood War premiered in 2022 and was split into four parts. The fourth and final one, “The Calamity”, began on July 25, 2026 with ten episodes planned. In September, the production announced that episodes 49 and 50 would move to October, which the staff said was to raise the quality of the animation.
According to Anime Corner, the first half of the new trailer looks back at the saga and Ichigo Kurosaki's path to his final clash with Yhwach. In Japan, the farewell also includes a marathon screening and talk event at United Cinemas Aqua City Odaiba in Tokyo on October 25, the day before the finale, with Masakazu Morita (Ichigo), Noriaki Sugiyama (Uryu Ishida), Tite Kubo himself and director Hikaru Murata.
The end of the anime is not the end of the calendar: the production has already announced BLEACH FES., an event celebrating the series' conclusion, for February 2027. The manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016 across 74 volumes, and the first anime series aired from 2004 to 2012.
