LEGO Harry Potter Collection launched on Nintendo Switch 2 on Friday, October 16. The Warner Bros. Games bundle includes LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, the remastered versions of the two games that retell all eight films with LEGO humor. It costs $49.99 on Nintendo's US store, where it is listed in both digital and physical form.

What's in the package

  • Years 1-4: from the Sorcerer's Stone to the Goblet of Fire.
  • Years 5-7: from the Order of the Phoenix to both parts of the Deathly Hallows and the final showdown with Voldemort.
  • Every add-on released so far: a Character Pack (including the four Hogwarts founders, Peeves and Luna in her lion head, among others) and a Spell Pack.
  • A digital version on the eShop and a physical edition with both games on a single game-key card.

Worth knowing before you buy the physical copy: a game-key card works as a license key, and the game itself has to be downloaded the first time you play. The Switch 2 port was handled by Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games, based on TT Games' original work.

A collection that has been everywhere

LEGO Harry Potter Collection first launched on PlayStation 4 in October 2016, reached Xbox One and the original Switch in October 2018, and came to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC (Steam) in October 2024. The original games date from 2010 and 2011. Warner's announcement does not mention an upgrade path or discount for owners of the first Switch version. For newcomers, it remains one of the most approachable ways into Hogwarts on a console, with two-player couch co-op.
